Our analysis is that he had low self-esteem issues due to working on a tabloid news show like Inside Edition and so most likely treated his staff as a pompous ass would thereby placing pressure on him to be a perfectionist. Any mistake would then be embarrassing. He sees something on the teleprompter that that kicks him out of his routine and he's embarrassed for not finishing the show flawlessly. The more he gets angry the more embarrassed he gets causing the anger to escalate. The point at which he snaps is when he tries to get up and leave but the microphone cord pulls him back down. The person in the video below is in serious need of mental assistance.
